Natzka Decision Intelligence is joining Palo Alto’s portfolio, extending clients’ digital transformation journey from information and workflows to decision-making.

Palo Alto’s expertise in document management and process automation with DocuWare is now complemented by Natzka, the Decision Intelligence platform that connects data, AI, business logic and people. It is a foundation designed to bring Enterprise AI into business processes in a secure, reliable and business-oriented way.

Based in Lugano, Palo Alto helps companies digitalise documents and processes and automate workflows.

Simone Severoni, Managing Director, Head of Digital Solutions & Services at Palo Alto, and Michele Solazzo, Territory Manager at Natzka, explain the partnership and the opportunities it creates for clients.

Why did Palo Alto decide to expand its offering?

Simone Severoni: Our conversations with clients have progressively moved beyond document management.

Digitalising documents such as orders, contracts or invoices and automating workflows is a fundamental step. Today, however, companies also want to make better use of the information already flowing through these processes. This means connecting it with other company data, understanding it in context and using it not only to manage a process, but also to analyse a situation and make better decisions.

For us, this is a natural evolution of our offering: from managing information to making it genuinely useful when the business needs to make a decision.

We wanted to support our clients through this next phase as well, building on our knowledge of their processes and infrastructure.

Why did you choose Natzka?

Simone Severoni: We were looking for something more than an analytics platform or another AI tool.

Natzka starts with the decision and brings together data, business logic, scenarios, responsibilities and actions in a single environment. It is a highly flexible platform that can adapt to different needs and processes without compromising governance and control.

We were also impressed by Natzka’s ability to make business questions accessible that today often require analysis, reports and the involvement of multiple people. Natzka’s team takes a practical approach: starting from the client’s real problem and rapidly building applications that can have a tangible impact on the business.

What role does artificial intelligence play in this journey?

Simone Severoni: AI can already read, classify and extract information. With Natzka, we can take that information, organised through document processes, and bring it into a broader context alongside other company data, including ERP, finance and operations.

This opens up a very interesting possibility: asking questions in a simple way that previously required several steps to answer, understanding what is driving a particular result, exploring the underlying data and evaluating possible scenarios.

The difference is that AI doesn’t work with isolated information. It can operate within the context, rules and access levels defined by the company.

Michele Solazzo: That is exactly the objective of Natzka AI: to make business questions that are difficult to solve today easy to ask.

Behind a simple query are the platform’s foundations: connected data, models and business logic, permissions and processes. This context makes it possible to get useful, verifiable answers and continue the journey from analysis to decision and from decision to action.

Enterprise AI means creating the conditions for AI to become genuinely useful in the way a company operates and makes decisions.

What makes Palo Alto an important partner for Natzka?

Michele Solazzo: Palo Alto has a deep understanding of its clients’ processes and systems.

This means starting from concrete business needs and entering an already structured environment that connects information, data and decision-making processes.

It is a natural complement: Palo Alto brings its knowledge of the client and its processes, while Natzka connects data, context and AI to turn them into decisions and actions.
